Exploring Architectural Wonders at Tripoli International Fair: A Lesson in Design Innovation
Last Wednesday, students and their course instructor from the Digital Design Communication course, at the Jamal Abed Faculty of Architecture, embarked on an enlightening journey to the historic Tripoli International Fair in Lebanon. Their mission was to immerse themselves in the diverse architectural forms and spaces that define this iconic site designed by the legendary Oscar Niemeyer. With cameras and sketchbooks in hand, they captured the essence of this extraordinary place, translating their experiences into photographs and drawings. These young minds are preparing for the Tripoli Fair digital art competition, ‘The Way I See It,’ where they’ll channel the inspiration gathered from this architectural gem into their creative works. Field visits to such renowned architectural sites as the Tripoli Fair enrich students’ knowledge, enabling them to infuse their design work with the spirit and brilliance of the masters of architecture, an invaluable experience in their academic journey.
